Location: 405 N 79th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85043

Duties:

• Responsible for promoting the maintenance of a safe accident free and healthy working environment; to achieve effectiveness for the company and ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company policies, procedures and regulations.

• Recommending measures to reduce accidents and hazards; and assure that safety inspections are properly scheduled, carried out, monitored, acted upon and documented.

• Responsible for company standards, coordinating the activities of on-the-job-injury and light duty personnel, workers compensation and general liability carriers.

• Ensure that the company has well oriented and trained employees who function independently and have confidence in their abilities.

• Conduct comprehensive orientation programs for new employees as well as facilitate in-service training to ensure that our team is continually updating and enhancing their skills.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, or GED required.

• Three years progressive experience in safety

• Must possess a state Commercial Drivers License with appropriate endorsements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination including a substance abuse screening

• Must maintain an excellent motor vehicle record

• Must be able to operate a coach bus and understand state guidelines concerning CDL licensing programs

• Must possess or have the ability to acquire and maintain Third Party Tester status for Commercial Drivers License

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and be able to prioritize workload of two departments

• Ability to analyze and formulate curriculum to meet the training needs of the employees

• Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills a must

• Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
